The Cerridwen Earrings are named for Cerridwen, a Celtic Welsh Goddess of Mythology. She is a powerful figure associated with a magical cauldron and themes of wisdom, inspiration, transformation, and rebirth. She rules the realms of death, fertility, regeneration, inspiration, magic, enchantment and knowledge. Cerridwen is a shape shifting Goddess, able to take on various forms. She is known as being a white witch or goddess, and is also associated with herbology and astrology. Her story is deeply connected with transformation and the pursuit of knowledge, making her a fitting namesake for a design centered around the changing phases of the moon. 

An oxidized brass bar features cutout moon phases, symbolizing the continuous cycle of beginnings, endings, release, and renewal. Like the moon, we are constantly moving through phases—each one carrying its own purpose and wisdom.

Below, a gold-plated semicircle and flowing raffia-and-gold-thread tassel add movement and contrast to the dark moon-phase element. The combination of shadow and gold reflects the balance between darkness and illumination—the unseen and the revealed, intuition and awareness, endings and beginnings.
